Attire for Friday nights game will again be member shirts/shorts/athletic shoes.
The weather will continue to be hot all week.  You are encouraged to bring your water jugs to rehearsals and the game.

We have a public service announcement about parking when the band is traveling.

We kindly ask you to avoid parking in front of the garage doors of the HS Annex/maintenance building.  Also, please do not park in the leftmost 3 bus parking spots.  Our trailer is 28 feet long and the truck is another 15 feet plus.  It takes a decent amount of space to park the trailer.  By the time we get home, we are all tired and we want to release the students and have them go home as much (maybe more) than parents want them to.  Leaving these parking spots opens really makes the process go much quicker.

Returning parents....you know where and how we park the trailer.  If you see someone who you think might be in the spots we need, please ask them to move kindly.  We have lots of new families and it makes it even more difficult that our first performance is a travel date.

Monday, August 22 is KMB Rookie Appreciation Day.  All sections should be thinking about ways to support their new members!

Attention all who signed up for Cafe Riviera dinners: Please bring $57.00 to band camp tomorrow, cash or check made out to Friends of Music in a clearly labeled envelope with your name.  Dinners will be Monday through Thursday this week, and Monday the 22nd next week.

Band Camp starts tomorrow (Monday, August 15), 8:00 AM at Kennett Middle School!!! 

Rehearsal begins at 8:00 AM sharp and ends at 8:00 PM, so please plan accordingly.  Many students will have additional responsibilities immediately following rehearsal, so departure time may be a bit later.

Medical / Field Trip forms will be collected at the door tomorrow morning.  These forms are mandatory, and students may not participate without them being turned in; no exceptions.  Forms may be downloaded here.

Plan for HOT weather, start hydrating NOW, and make sure to eat a substantial and healthy breakfast tomorrow morning.  Please see the email from Mr. Romano for further details.

This is a gentle reminder that all band members and families must be subscribed to our Google email group.  We use email as our primary form of communication, especially for things that are not intended for public viewing on our website, Twitter, or Facebook.  A large amount of information has already been sent via this email group, and this will increase throughout the season.  If you are not receiving our emails, then you are missing the bulk of our communications.

If you have have not done so already, please go to our Communications page for directions on how to sign up for the group.  Please do this ASAP before you miss any more important information.  If you know of any new members who are not signed up for the group, please encourage them to sign up immediately.

We also highly recommend signing up for text alerts, and following us on Twitter and Facebook.  Again, directions are on the Communications page.  You may also follow the RSS feed of this announcement blog in your email, linked at the top-right of the website header.  Once again, please note that the content posted via these other methods is different from that of the email group, which is why the email group subscription is mandatory.

All sections will be rehearsing from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 9 at KHS. 
The battery and guard will be outside.  The pit and horn line will be in the band room.

This is what we call a mandatory/voluntary rehearsal.  It means that if you are not on vacation, you should be at practice.
At the end of practice, we will be loading the trailer to move it to the middle school.
