NO HATS. This performance is only for the hornline and drumline. We will be playing a selection of stand music. This does not apply to the front ensemble or colorguard. Thursday PM 4:00 - 5:15 - Rehearsal 5:15 - 5:35 - Change to band shirts/polish horns/water break 5:35 - Warmup 6:10 - "Gate" 6:15 - Performance After performance we need to load both trailers and the white box truck to move everything back to KHS for Friday. Parent help with loading is appreciated and will get everyone to our picnic faster. This performance will be in our usual camp work clothes but we will be wearing our member t-shirts...Assuming they are ready. Friday 8:00 AM - Noon rehearsal at KHS!!!! NOT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! DON'T GO THERE. We will be in the stadium. Noon - 12:45 - Lunch 12:45 - 3:00 Rehearsal 3:00 - 5:40 Dinner on your own in town, or go home, or hang with us in the band room to polish instruments and get your stuff ready for the show. 5:40 Report 6:10 Quick Warmup 6:30 Butts in seats to watch AG band play pregame 6:40 Approx pregame performance by AG Band. 6:57 National Anthem performed by KHS Band 7:00 Kickoff KHS Band performs at halftime 9:30 - Approx end of game. This performance will be in band member shirts and shorts. Hats/sunglasses are encouraged for the beginning of the game. Members are only allowed to have water in the stands with them. No other food or beverages. Band members will get time during the third quarter of the football game to visit the concession stands for food. Members should bring cash so they can eat. The $50.00 KCSD activity fee is due now. This is different than the $100.00 deposit that went towards uniforms/equipment/etc. This can be in cash or a check made out to KCSD. If you have not RSVP'd for the preview BBQ next Thursday night, please do so immediately. Friends of Music needs a headcount as they don't (and won't) buy extra food that is not needed. You can RSVP here. This show is very ambitious. We are putting more on the field than we have ever attempted in the past. We will absolutely need parent volunteers at home games, away games, and competitions. Everyone is important to this production. If you haven't signed up to volunteer, you can do that here. Due to the impending storm, we are cancelling evening block and ending rehearsal at 5 PM tonight.
Parents, please pick up students at 5 PM. Parents: There are many moving pieces to this organization (literally and figuratively), and as such, we rely on parent volunteers to assist us football games and competitions throughout our season. There are a variety of things we need help with before, during, and after our events, and we greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS: 1. We are at KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL every day this week. 2. 8 AM means WE START REHEARSAL AT 8 AM. That means you must arrive at KMS before that time. 3. Eat a REAL breakfast. This means protein, carbs, fruit, etc; NOT just a Pop-Tart. 4. Start hydrating early before rehearsal begins. Do not wait until you're thirsty to start drinking water. 5. 7. If you are participating in Cafe Riviera dinners, you need to bring $60 cash or a check made out to Kennett HS Friends of Music. This is due tomorrow morning! Please put your money in an envelope with your name on it and mark it as "Band Dinner Payment." 8. Once again, we are at KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL. See you tomorrow! We still have about 20 members who have not signed up for a uniform fitting. Tomorrow morning (Wed 8/9) from 9 AM - 11 AM in the KHS Band Room is your last chance. At this point you don't have to sign up on the form, but make sure you come during that time to complete your fitting.
