Rehearsal Schedule
Monday: 6:00-8:30 (you must be in places by 6:00 so please arrive around 5:50)
Wednesday: 6:00-8:30 (same idea)

Friday, September 1st.  Away Game vs. Oxford
Students are encouraged to stay through.  Snacks will be provided by Friends of Music.
- we will be wearing the Pep Band hats and t-shirts.  This is not optional, please make sure they are washed by the game on Friday.
Weather: The low Friday night will be 55!  I recommend bringing a Kennett sweatshirt or your band jacket.  If you don't have a Kennett sweatshirt or band jacket, please go with blue or white.  At the very least, make sure whatever you bring will keep you comfortable regardless of the color.

Greetings Friends, Parents, and Family Members,

The KCSD Athletic Department is going cashless for entry this year. 

You have two options for admission:

Option A: Purchase a ticket in advance https://kennett.hometownticketing.com/embed/all

Option B: Scan the QR code and essentially use the same website list above later.  I recommend purchasing the tickets in advance.  Tickets are $5 per spectator.

When the props are completed and we need assistance, Roadies will get a KCSD lanyard and enter free of charge.  The game tonight vs. Upper Dublin will require all students, friends, parents, and family members to pay the $5 General Admission.  The gate fee goes directly to the KCSD Athletic Department.

Friends of Music volunteers will need to inquire with Mr. Harvey about admission for Chick-Fil-A and Spirit Wear sales.

The Camp Schedule needs to change due to an adjustment to the Open House schedule by KHS Administration.  This change was made last week and was not communicated to me until recently.  With this being said, thank you for your patience.

Open House at KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL 5:30-6:15

Thursday, August 24
Camp at KMS 1:00-8:00pm with dinner break from 4:30-5:15

Friday, August 25
First Football Game vs. Upper Dublin at KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL
- Report Time: 3:30
- Pick-up Time: 9:30
Please bring money for concessions during the 3rd Quarter.

Reminders
-Please be sure to pay Friends of Music if you owe anything.  All questions relating to account balances should be directed to Mrs. Haskins ([email protected])
-The KCSD Activity Fee must be paid by all KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.  The KMS students do not need to pay the $50 fee because they are not registered for the class.  The $50 fee should be made payable to Kennett High School with the memo line: KCSD Activity Fee.  Cash is also accepted.  YOU MUST PAY YOUR ACTIVITY FEE before the end of the first week of camp.  Students who do not pay their activity fee before the end of the first week of camp will be referred to KHS administration.
-Please check the list in the handbook and be sure you are prepared for the first day of camp.  Every student needs a 64oz water jug, sunscreen, bug spray, a pencil, a hat, lunch, and a snack.  You will have much better day if you arrive prepared.

-Check in at the end of the F-Wing with your Captain or Section Leader
-FRONT ENSEMBLE ONLY will report to Kennett High School for the first two blocks of camp.

Props
The props are a work in progress, and we should have the props by Labor Day.  When we have more, Nathan Bragaw and I will reach out for student and parent volunteers.
 
Final Summer Rehearsals
-Drumline: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am – 11am.
-Color Guard: Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:30pm.
-Front Ensemble: Possibly Friday, 8/11, time TBD (see Discord)
 
Discord Join Code
-This is an updated code, it will only work for 7 days.
-Both parents and students are encouraged to use Discord.
-The daily cutoff for posting on Discord is 10pm, please do not GROUP post after 10pm.  If you have something urgent, please use the direct messaging feature.
 
Uniforms
-We have ALL BUT ONE STUDENT FITTED!!!!  Great job getting this done before camp!!!  A special thank Mrs. Huber, Cory, and anyone else who helped!
-Color Guard uniforms are ordered.  We should have them by September 20th(ish).  Delays are always possible.
-The hoods are still TBD.  This will be easier to coordinate when the season begins.  We can come up with a design and make it happen by the middle of September.  If we don’t have the hoods by the Rustin Competition, that’s okay.
