Homecoming Game vs. Octorara

Octorara only brings a pep band and only plays in the stands.
KHS performs halftime.

12:45 PM - Dismissal for Pep Rally - Band Tshirts/Sweatshirts/band jackets if cold outside.
8th/9th period - Pep Rally

5:00 PM - Report/set stadium/polish horns etc...
5:30 PM - Uniforms
5:40 PM - Parade Line up
6:00 PM - Parade Step Off
6:45 PM - In Stands
6:57 PM - National Anthem
7:00 PM - Kickoff
KHS plays halftime

You may decorate your instruments, hats, uniforms for the pep rally and parade.  We ask that it is non-permanent and non-destructive.  Go ahead and show your spirit in responsible ways.  We ask that any such decorations be removed before we play our show at halftime.  Post show - the pit, backdrops, guard, and seesaw will clear the field.  Hornline/drumline will remain on field and form an arc as the backdrop for the homecoming court.

All Instrumentalists: Please listen to Ensemble Music, Field Music, and Field Visual.
Guard: Please listen to Overall Effect - Visual and Auxiliary.
Drumline: Please listen to Percussion.  (Unfortunately his recording cut off after only 1:30.)

Friday 9/25: Away Game at Downingtown West
3:30 -  Report - hornline/drumline/guard to field for 30 minute "production" rehearsal.  This will be very light duty.  Singing/moving/practice flags.  Pit loads trailer
4:00 - Drumline/hornline/guard load
4:20 - Load buses
4:30 - Depart
5:15 - Arrive at DWHS Dress/bathroom break
5:45 - Warmup
6:40 - Downingtown Performs Pregame (previously we were playing)
7:00 - Kickoff
Kennett Performs Halftime (previously was DW)
9:30 - approximate end of game
10:15 - approximate arrival back at KHS
*We will not unload the trailer on Friday night.
Downingtown will play national anthem.

Saturday 9/26: Competition at Downingtown West High School
4:30 - Guard Report
5:15 - Everyone else report
5:35 - Board buses
5:45 - Depart
6:30 - Arrive at DW HS
7:00 - Warm-up
8:05 - Move to gate
8:20 - Gate
8:35 - Perform
9:35 - Host Band Performs
9:50  - Awards
10:45 - Approximate arrival at KHS

Wednesday:
6:00 to 8:30 - Rehearsal
Needed for practice:

• Hornline/drumline - any blue Kennett t-shirt, hats, plumes, drill masters.  We want you to get used to marching in them.
• Pit - same as above; no hat
• Guard - blue t-shirt, guard shoes

Friday:
Home Game vs Bristol - no opposing band, we play halftime.
Attire is full uniform.  Full uniform includes *BLACK* socks and a blue marching band T-shirt.  For those with access to previous years tour shirts...they are acceptable.  We will take care of gloves Friday before the game.
5:30 - Report / stadium setup / get into uniform
6:20 - Warmup in stadium
6:45 - In stands
6:57  - National Anthem
7:00 - Kickoff

Wednesday:
6:00 PM to 8:30 PM - Rehearsal

Friday:
3:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Rehearsal in Stadium
5:00 PM to 5:35 PM - "Dinner" break
5:35 PM - Board bus for Mushroom Parade
6:00 PM - 6:15 approx - Step off of Mushroom Parade.
6:45 PM - approx - Return to KHS
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM - Rehearsal in Stadium

Attire for the parade will be Marching Band T-shirts, shorts, and athletic shoes.  Sunglasses and hats are appropriate and encouraged.  The weather forecast is for temps still over 80 degrees and a likelihood of morning rain.

Music for the parade will be Uptown Funk.
Drumline will be learning the cadence on Friday from 3:30 to 5:00 PM.
