BAND CAMP STARTS TOMORROW!

Band Camp beings on Monday, August 14, 8 AM at Kennett Middle School.

SCHEDULE:

• Rehearsals this week are 8 AM to 8 PM.  8 AM means we start rehearsal at 8 AM, so arrive early! 
  • Staff will be on premises as early as 7 AM.
• Lunch is Noon to 12:45 PM and Dinner is 5 PM to 6 PM.
• Rehearsal ends at 8 PM.  Students will be able to leave 5-30 minutes afterward depending on their equipment responsibilities.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

1. We are at KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL every day this week.
2. 8 AM means WE START REHEARSAL AT 8 AM.  That means you must arrive at KMS before that time.
3. Eat a REAL breakfast.  This means protein, carbs, fruit, etc; NOT just a Pop-Tart.
4. Start hydrating early before rehearsal begins.  Do not wait until you're thirsty to start drinking water.
5. You must bring the following:

• Instrument
  
• Music
  
• Water (again, start early), G2 or Powerade Zero.  Carbonated, sugary or caffeinated drinks are not advised.
  
• Extra Water (no such thing as too much) - Gallon or 1/2 gallon jugs and / or CamelBaks strongly encouraged.
• Sunscreen (enough to re-apply frequently)
  
• Hats
  
• Sunglasses
• Deodorant / Antiperspirant
• Athletic Clothing (school appropriate)
• Athletic Sneakers and Socks (absolutely no flip-flops or sandals)
• Change of clothing (especially for wet days) - don't forget extra socks!
• Rain gear
• Snacks

6. Students who carry Epi-Pens and / or inhalers are strongly encouraged to bring them.
7. If you are participating in Cafe Riviera dinners, you need to bring $60 cash or a check made out to Kennett HS Friends of Music.  This is due tomorrow morning!  Please put your money in an envelope with your name on it and mark it as "Band Dinner Payment." 
8. Once again, we are at KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL.
