Our Text Alerts are sent via Twitter.  You can use Fast Follow to receive Twitter updates as text messages, without having to sign up for an account.

To get started:
Text Follow KMBand to 40404 and you will start receiving text alerts via Twitter from KMB on your mobile device.  That's it!

 Some notes on Fast Following:
If you are Fast Following via SMS, your name will not appear in the KMB Twitter account Followers list.  No one else (including us) will have access to your phone number.
If you want to create your own Twitter account, visit twitter.com and follow the directions or text SIGNUP to 40404.

Fast Follow Mobile Commands
Below are some common SMS commands you can use as a Fast Follower. Each of these commands must be sent to 40404, just like you did to sign up.  All other SMS commands, including those for registered users, can be found here.

• FOLLOW [username]: allows you to start following a specific user, as well as receive SMS notifications. Example: FOLLOW KMBand. allows you to start following a specific user, as well as receive SMS notifications.
  
• UNFOLLOW [username]: allows you to stop following a specific user.
  
• LEAVE [username]: this command allows you to stop receiving SMS notifications for a specific user without having to unfollow them. When you log into twitter.com from the web you will still see this user's updates in your timeline.
  
• STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE: will deactivate your account if you are an SMS-only user. If you have a Twitter account, sending any of these commands to your Twitter short code will simply remove your phone number from your Twitter account.  Your account will otherwise remain active.
