Pre-Camp, Week 1, and Week 2

​Hope you all had a wonderful summer!!

Band camp is right around the corner, please check the website (www.kennettmarchingband.com/band-camp-checklist).  You are required to have your payment submitted to FoM, shoes purchased, and uniform fitted.
 
If you missed the uniforming fittings, you will be fitted on August 16th during Open House, if you miss Open House, you will not be permitted to perform for the teachers the following week.
 
Pre-Camp August 3rd-11th

• Complete the Band Camp Checklist
• Download "Ultimate Drill Book" and "Beam"
• Update Discord, you are expected to regularly use and check our official server.
• Pay the KCSD athletic fee (https://events.hometownticketing.com/organization/3604f9aa-eca3-4313-bf9d-a267095e331e)
  • After you pay your fee, send me a message "Paid" on Discord confirming payment.  Please be honest, no need for screenshot.
  • ONLY KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (KMS students should not pay the athletic fee)
• Learn music, attend final summer sessions, spend some time outside.
  • What you put into camp prep is going to make your camp experience far more enjoyable.
  • Hornline Veterans (at least one season on your current instrument) are required to have Part 1 and Part 2 memorize.
  • Hornline Rookies (progress)

Rookie Camp (Thursday, August 8th) at Kennett Middle School

• Canceled due to weather

Band Camp Week 1

• 8am to 8:30pm (Rehearsal begins at 8:00am, arrive around 7:45 to make sure you are where you need to be)
  • DRUMLINE and FRONT ENSEMBLE meet at KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL (Day 1)
  • Lunch 12:00-12:45
  • Dinner 4:30-6:00
  • Rehearsal ends at 8pm, with cleanup you should expected to be ready for your ride around 8:15/8:30.  You are not permitted to leave unless you have been given permission by a Staff Member or Captain.
• August 12th (Day 1)
  • Meet in the KMS Gymnasium 8:00am to 8:50am
  • 9:00 Sectionals (detailed schedule will be provided next Sunday)
• August 16th (Week 1, Day 5) Open House at Kennett High School
  • Rehearse until 4:30
  • Arrive at KHS and perform Pep Band tunes on the steps for the Freshmen and New Students

Band Camp Week 2

• 1:00-8:30
  • Sectionals until 4:30
  • Ensemble from 6:00-8:00
• Band Camp BBQ (August 23rd at 2pm)
• Same Day & OPTIONAL (Pep Band) Football Scrimmage vs. St. Mark's
  • Report time to KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL is 6pm
